Core template features overview

The Core template is Kitenzo's block-based visual editor for bundle pages — a drag-and-drop canvas where you build a bundle page section by section, rather than editing Liquid or a fixed layout. This article is a map of what's in it: the building blocks you can add, the page structure around them, and the style and filtering controls that shape how everything looks and behaves. Where we have a full walkthrough for a feature, it's linked below.

Opening the Core template editor

From a bundle's page in Kitenzo, select a bundle and launch the design editor to open Core — a full-screen canvas with a live preview, a block library on the left, and a settings panel on the right for whatever's selected.

Blocks: what you can add to the page

Everything on a Core template page is a block. Blocks are grouped into five categories in the block library:

Layout

  • Tabs — tabbed content sections for things like "How it works" and "Shipping".
  • Accordion — a single collapsible section.
  • Divider — a plain horizontal rule between sections.

Content

  • Hero Banner — a full-width header with heading, subheading, description and background.
  • Text — a flexible rich-text block for instructions or descriptions.
  • Heading — a standalone section title.
  • Image and Video — a single image, or a YouTube/Vimeo embed.
  • Icon + Text — an icon paired with a short feature callout.
  • Image + Text — an image beside a heading, description and button, image on the left or right.
  • Accordion + Media — collapsible highlight rows next to an image or video, for a "why you'll love this bundle" style section.
  • Countdown — a timer counting down to a date, for time-limited offers.
  • Badge — a small label or tag (for example "NEW").

Bundle

The blocks that actually run the bundle-building experience:

  • Bundle Products — the core product picker. Displays as a grid, list, or carousel, and its settings cover spacing, card background color, search, sorting, product grouping, and multi-layer filtering — see customizing your Bundle Products block for the details.
  • Required products — products automatically included in every bundle, shown with an "Included" or "Required" badge.
  • Bundle Summary — the selected items, item count, price and savings, with the main Add to Cart action.
  • Add to Cart — a standalone call-to-action button, if you want it separate from the Summary block.
  • Step Navigation — how shoppers move between steps in a multi-step bundle, with several visual styles including Tabbed and Next / Previous buttons.
  • Selection Counter — a simple "Items selected: 3 of 5" readout.
  • Price Display and Discount Badge — standalone dynamic price and "Save 20%"-style callouts.
  • Discount Progress — a progress bar toward the bundle's next discount tier (only available once the bundle has a tiered or minimum-spend discount to progress toward).
  • Notes — a free-text field for shoppers to add a note to their bundle.

Trust & Social

  • Reviews — a star-rating summary and review list.
  • Testimonial — a single customer quote.
  • Social Share — share buttons for the bundle page.
  • Cart Summary — a compact version of the bundle summary, sized for the sidebar column.

Page structure: zones

Beyond the blocks you add yourself, a Core template page has a few structural zones that shape the overall layout:

  • Header — an optional banner area above the main content, with its own background/text colors and, for multi-step bundles, a built-in step indicator (Numbered or Tabbed) that can be made sticky as shoppers scroll.
  • Main — the canvas where most blocks live, read top to bottom.
  • Sidebar — an optional column (left or right, with its own width) that collapses on mobile. Good for a running Cart Summary or the bundle's requirements list alongside the products.
  • Footer — an optional sticky bar, commonly used as a mobile-only cart bar showing product thumbnails and the total.
  • Requirements — a floating box, bar, or widget that tracks what's still needed to complete the bundle (unmet rules, running total, and progress toward the next discount), independent of wherever the Bundle Products block sits on the page.

Global style

Settings that apply across the whole page rather than to one block:

  • Colors — accent, background, surface, border, text and button colors used throughout every block by default.
  • Grid spacing — the space between product cards, consistent across grid, list, carousel and summary views. See customizing your Bundle Products block.
  • Borders & radius — a shared corner-rounding preset (from square to fully rounded) and whether product cards show borders.
  • Typography — an optional override for heading and body font size, case, line height and letter spacing, and which font product titles and buttons use.

Finding and filtering products

The Bundle Products block has a few independent ways to help shoppers find what they want, which can be combined:

  • A flat tag filter and search bar, with the search field optionally collapsible behind an icon.
  • Grouping tabs, which split products into single-select tabs by tag, vendor, category or product type.
  • Multi-layer filtering, which lets shoppers combine several labelled filter groups at once (for example Recipient and Occasion), shown as buttons or dropdowns. This one is enabled on request — contact us if you'd like it turned on.

Pricing & limits

Pricing and rules live outside the visual editor, on the bundle's own page, but apply to whatever you build in Core:

  • Limit rules — cap a bundle by price, product count, or total weight, blocking add-to-cart once a shopper goes over.
  • Discounts — percentage, fixed-amount or tiered discounts on the bundle total.
  • Product surcharges — keep a bundle at one fixed price while adding a flat amount for premium components. This is a request-only feature built for a specific pricing model; get in touch if it sounds like what you need.
