How to hide products from store search and collections, all sales channels, internet searches and Shopify Catalog

In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to hide products from being visible across your store’s search, collections, sales channels, internet searches, and the Shopify Catalog using Shopify’s new ‘Unlisted’ product status. This is especially helpful for managing bundle components or other products you don’t want customers to find or purchase directly.

To get started, just follow these quick steps from your Shopify admin dashboard:

Step 1: Go to ‘Products’ in your Shopify admin.

Step 2: Click on the product that you would like to hide.

Step 3: Under the ‘Product status’ section and select ‘Unlisted’ from the dropdown.

That’s it! The product will now be excluded from search results, collections, all sales channels, and won’t appear in your online store or external search engines. These products will still be purchasable as part of your bundle.

Want to Make It Visible Again?

Simply change the status back to Active, and the product will be visible once more.
